Hampton Mullet Toss for Studio By The Tracks-Great Time Had By All!

  Thanks Peggy and Amy for this fun idea which I'm sure will turn into an NESP tradition!!

We will be doing a Mullet Toss at Hampton Beach on April 5th. This should be viewable through the Hampton Beach web cam for those that can't join us. This is based on the Florabama bar's traditional mullet toss for charity that gets thousands of people each year. Ours
will be less crowded and goofier but will go for a good cause,
Studio By The Tracks, which provides arts and activities for autistic
people. They sent me the fish drawing for the T shirt-very cool.

The beach is right across from the Casino. Peggy pointed out that
Taylor will probably be doing his sound checks and seeing us do this.
I'm thinking he'll be thinking "What the hell have I created?!?"

So glad this thought was made a reality. It should be fun and should bring a lot of attention to ourselves (good or bad...LOL). Just let me know when I should send you some $$$.

We'll probably start the T Shirt orders this week, as soon as people
find their way here. Tricia finished translating our design to the right
format, and my friend here will print them for us. They're going to be
gray shirts (saving the black for our official NESP ones) with blue and
black lettering, with a fish drawn by a Studio by the Tracks artist.
Really fun! The package will include a colorful fish, shirt,and string of
purple beads to be picked up in Boston or Hampton. Hopefully we'll
raise some cash! I hear that Lyn from GC boards has some cool prizes too....I know we at least have some wine and Happy Clam
gift certs. to give out.

So what size T shirt do I order for Taylor????

So, if people are ready to order, it's $20 for the fish,shirt,beads package. We'll pay for costs (which will be pretty low) and then all
proceeds will go to Studio By The Tracks (at least $10 per person, if
not more). We'll also enter people into the prize drawing that buy a shirt. Just PM or email me your size. We'll deliver the shirts in person

I will have a total number for T-shirts by this Friday. I know that I am taking several people with me however I am not sure how many are attending the "mullet" toss. BTW, what time is the Mullet Toss?

Last Friday I was speaking to one of my reps (he works for the company that is the MAJOR sponsor for the Casino) and come to find out he was having lunch with the OWNER of the Casino on Monday, (yesterday). I will be meeting Taylor in the afternoon in this guys office!! He is also going to speak with him about joining us across the street for the "mullet" toss. I will also throw in a good word about coming across to help out. He (the owner) is going to "try" his best to get us a Meet & Greet after the show but it will be up to Taylor. Taylor hasn't given him his final plans as of this date. He said he should receive them in about a week.

Don't count on the radio stations in the area. All of the promotion money is going to Chris and I would be very surprised IF they even show up over there!! Man the more I find out the more angry I am. I never watched AI before Taylor and now I am NOT watching it after Taylor! Things are not always what they seem.

Lyn, That is SO AWESOME!!!! We were thinking of the toss around
5:30, as the doors open around 6:00 and it won't take long to do the
toss. We can change the time if that's better for Taylor-we would
LOVE for him to be there for our first annual toss, even if it's a small
group it will be cool. A small group would probably be
better for Taylor so he doesn't get mauled LOL A meet and greet after the show would send us right over the edge!!

I don't have a good handle on how many people yet, I should know
more by next week. I'm guessing 20-30. I'll give my friend the T shirt
order early next week so she can get going on them.

Karen mentioned you had some prizes for the toss? Just trying to
get a handle on how we should plan it. We may do a raffle in the
Happy Clam as well.

See if your contacts can figure out if Taylor is leaving after the show,
or if he'll stop in to one of the Hampton clubs after
His drinks are on NESP if he's out and about!!!
