Here's my Hyannis recap with pictures added from the first one I wrote

Hyannis

The day was beautiful and we headed to Hyannis from our house in Yarmouth.  There was a cool Classic Auto show and I checked out the JFK Museum.  Then off to the Sheraton for a NESP party.  It was great to meet everyone, many of you for the first time.

After the party, we walked across the street to the  Cape Cod Melody Tent because we heard the soundcheck and saw the new bus.

We heard them rehearse DLMD and Levon and went into bliss!  Brian came out to talk for a while.  I saw my  friends Rachel, Sylvia and Pam from Boston.  Then we went home, got showered and back to the concert.  Our seats were in the third row and in front of the orchestra pit again, but low.  The lighting at both concerts was just awful, with a bright, harsh spotlight directly down on Taylor all the time and the rest of the band in blue light.

This concert was not at the energy level of Cohasset, but the music was very good and again, Taylor featured individual band members.  The camera Nazis were relentless, but I managed to get a couple of videos – no complete songs, but at least I didn't have my camera taken away!  Felix did a fantastic solo on the drums that had the whole place on their feet.  He was on fire, sometimes playing the drums halfway out of his seat.  Brian G had some gorgeous sax solos that took you to another place.  Josh and Boogie were really rocking and Taylor's harp duets with them were fantastic. It was very steamy and hot in the tent that night and all of us were drenched after the second song.  We were hoping they would open the tent flaps, but no.  I think they might have cut the concert short because near the end, Taylor asked that the stage stop revolving because “my bass player is getting sick.”

After the concert, we cooled off and then walked to the buses where Taylor came out in shorts and a black T-shirt that NESP had given to him with "More Cowbell" on it.  There must have been 300 people around in a L-shape behind metal barriers.  Taylor just went down the line, slowly and methodically, signing everything and chatting with people when he could.  He bent down, greeted and hugged a young girl in a wheelchair and she gave him a kiss on the check.  She was so happy and he was so patient and sweet, it made us cry. Clay Conners had given me a set list and Taylor signed that for me and gave me a smile.

Provincetown – Day 4

On Monday morning, Lori, Kylee, Grimsby and I got up early and headed up to Provincetown, at the upper tip of the Cape.  We had a fun time shopping in this quaint town and had a great lunch of big lobster chunks on  Caesar Salad on a patio restaurant overlooking the Bay.  We dragged Grims into a music/porn/headshop/poster/tshirt store that had hilarious stuff I had never seen before and bought a bunch of nasty bumper stickers!  LOL!

We headed home playing our little keychain harmonicas to Taylor CDs and I missed the last ferry across the Sound.  I had to drive through NYC, but it was fine – I had my Taylor CDs and wonderful memories of a great weekend with sweet friends.

A time for peace....I swear it's not too late.

Thanks Diane-you're a huge help for the page I'm working on!! I love it
that we get all different angles, perspectives, etc. Since you can't be
everywhere at once, it's great to have a group who can be! Grin
