TOP 2 - FINALE

RE: TOP 2 - FINALE
Did anyone else see the TV Guide Network Red Carpet pre-show (the one hosted by Guarini and Kim Caldwell)? Randy and Simon were all "After we went back and saw the show on TV we decided it wasn't really a knockout after all."

What do you want to bet that the truth was "after we were in the meeting today and heard the vote totals"?? I just knew after that little speech that Cook would be fine. Not that I was any less tense and emotional when it was time for the final announcement.

America got it right.
Simon and Randy got it wrong.

Loved this tidbit about the Archie-Cook duet, from Richard Rushfield, LA Times blogger:

Quote:Minutes later, a conference takes place around the two finalists. Cook sings a song to Archuleta, encouraging him through an arrangement. Lythgoe explains: “The Davids were going to do 'Homeward Bound' as their duet. Today was the first time we listened to it with the band, and the two guys, they didn’t know it and didn’t connect with it. And it wasn’t doing what we needed it to do -- which is showcase our two best singers. So then David Cook made the suggestion to do this song “Hero,” from "Spiderman," and he played it for us, and we thought, that will definitely work, so we’re doing that.”
“Out of a hundred ideas I’ve had this season,” Cook says, “I finally had one that Nigel likes.”
Laughing, Lythgoe wags his finger, adding: “We’re not there yet!”

I didn't know Cook picked the song, cool! I am glad they went with Hero instead of the other.

RE: TOP 2 - FINALE
Andrea the other one not on the tour was "crap I forgot her name" isn't it the little asian girl?

The Commercials were good for guitar hero, don't know if I'd call DC sexy. He's NO Taylor that's for sure. he's more dorky younger brother type.

Overall I could have cared less who won. I'm just not into it anymore. They both have ALOT of talent and DA even though he didn't win is going to go very far, maybe a sway singer like Michael Buble or something. Smile

I did pull alittle more for DC only for the fact that all he's going thru with the brother and it would have been nice to have his brother see him win. And he seems like a genuinely nice person like DA...

The two from the top 12 who are not on the tour are Amanda Overmyer and David Hernandez.
