RE: The NESP AI7 Recaps
I thought it looked like he had on eyeliner. He has the most beautiful eyes without it!

I loved the comment he made about all the girls with signs/t-shirts that say "David will you marry me?'
and how if he said yes to them all , he'd be in trouble because he would be married to like 20 different woman, so he says next "So, I'll just say 'thank you'." Myabe someone else remembers how he said it word for word.
He seems genuinely touched and flattered that woman love him that much.

RE: The NESP AI7 Recaps
Thanks for the details Margaux. Did they all come out to sign around 2:30? Just wondering how early to get there. I go on Wednesday.

Nice pictures Seger! MJ a sexpot? Shocking! Haha
I am not a fan of the guy-liner on Cook or the rocker rag for that matter either but I love his voice and can't wait to hear him in person.

MJ, David Cook, Jason, oh my! I can't wait w00t

The buses rolled into the arena at about 2, and DC came out at 2:30? sprinted to the far end of the line and worked his way back to the door. Christy Lee, Brooke and Archie came out about the same time, Michael Johns a bit later. I did hear that Jason came out after we left (when it seemed to us that they were done, and the rain was making appearance). So THawks, plan accordingly.

I don't love the guy-liner either, but once the performance starts I didn't notice that sort of thing. We were close enough that I didn't ever look at the jumbotron, but not so close I could examine the makeup.

During Carly's set, she told a cute story about how the drummer had helped her out with her foundation, so when Cook comes out, he says he got help with his rouge.. Haha

RE: The NESP AI7 Recaps
My daughter and I attended the show in Hartford on Friday.Let me start by saying that every one of the top ten are incredible, each for different reasons. They are a diverse group and all worthy to have made it into the top ten.Tonnight they played to an enthusiastic packed house at the XL CEnter in Hartford. Our seats were ninth row on the floor, you could almost reach out and touch them.

Chikezie.........WOW,he set the pace and warmed up the audience. His performance was incredible. Not only does he sing well,he's a great performer. We really enjoyed his set.

Ramielle........Lovely voice, cute as a button, but her voice doesn't project well in the arena. It seemed to get drowned out by the band.

Michael.........Loved his entrance,it sets the pace for what's to come.Lots of screaming when he ascends to the stage. When he appears there is thunderous applause. The only way I can describe his performance is to say it's smoldering hot.His voice was flawless and powerful and can be heard above the band.He rocks the house with his first number and gets the first standing O of the night. Michael said that he and Brooke attended Neil Diamonds concert the night before at the XL Center. He said it was awesome and that Neil blew the roof off the place and that they hoped to do the same tonight.IAWBIA is enough to melt the metal rafters in the arena.Dream On is spectacular, the falsetto is perfect and the audience is singing along and feeling the emotion of the song.Another standing O and his set is over SIGH !! One last thing,he is even more handsome in person.

Kristy Lee.......Absolutely gorgeous, great voice.I see her doing fantastic in Country.

Carley........She's a powerhouse vocally.Seems very comfortable on stage, which makes for an amzing performance. The crowd loved her.She is very beautiful in person.

Brooke.......We enjoyed her performance, she has a soothing voice and way about her. She's also very beautiful and sweet.

Jason.......The audience goes crazy for Jason, lots of screaming and applause. His voice is just perfect,he hits all the right notes and we love the fact that you can hear and understand every word he is singing. He has the voice and face of an angel, when you see Jason you can't help but smile.A beautiful, beautiful boy in every sense of the word. When he is finished he gets the second standing O of the night.

David A.........The most applause of the night,it's deafening.I said in the past that all of his songs sounded alike,I retract that and have to say he was the biggest surprise of the night for myself and my daughter. His voice is flawless and his singing is effortless, every note, evey word is impecable, you can hear a pin drop.everyone is mesmerized. He is simply incredible.Standing O after every song and the audience won't let him go.The applause goes on and on,CT.loves David A.

David C......Thunderous reception and David is strutting his stuff, looking every bit like the rockstar that he is. He dedicates " Hero " to his brother Adam and the audience is thrilled. Before he sings Don't Want To Change A Thing,he says " contrary to popular belief,I wrote this song for Michael Johns " David ends his set with a killer version of Billy Jean.A standing O for David and he thanks the crowd.

Now the finale,Michael slid across the stage on his knees and then he and David are ballerinas lol They were twirling and pirouetting like two pros.It was hilarious, and though we didn't know it then it is the last of the MAVID dances. You could tell that they are having the time of their lives.

RE: The NESP AI7 Recaps
So, this recap is from Cassie and me. As I'm writing this, Cassie is framing some photos I took last night to put on her wall of guapo, which previously just included Taylor and Mike Lowell. Now, there will be photos of Jason that she took by the buses after the show, and of MJ and DC, that I took during the show. Liz, Cassie has two amazing Jason photos she'll post for you!

First, on a personal note, thanks to my NESP girls for the birthday gifts I got at dinner. I love the photo from NYC and especially the copy of EW. Wink

Cas and I had floor seats so our view was a bit different. Believe it or not, we had no idea there was a little "pod" stage. Haha Our impressions:

Chikezie - Should have stayed around on the show much longer than Ramielle and Christy Lee. His performance last night was supercharged, both his vocals and his personality.

Ramielle - "She wasn't terrible, but nothing special," Cassie. She looked beautiful though.

Michael - So damn sexy. Sexiness oozed from the man's pores. And his performances were just hot. He could sing "It's All Wrong, But It's All Right" to us all night long.

Kristy Lee - Didn't know two of the songs, as Margaux said. But, I think the two songs we hadn't heard were much better than her "God Bless the USA." She did that much better on the show.

Photos to follow as soon as I upload them!

Carley - So disappointed. Her vocals seemed so off. I really felt like she was screamign the entire time.

Brooke - Loved "Let it Be." We were a bit frightened when she started "1-2-3-4," a song which we both despise. But what we discovered was that we don't despise the song we despise Feist!

Jason - The crowd just went wild we he came out. I was so happy that he started with "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," one of my favorite performances of the season. Not fond of his version of "Crazy," but he made up for it with "Daydream."

David A - Anyone who has seen him live has said that hearing his voice on TV does not do it justice. They were right. His voice booms, and it is amazing to watch that big, strong voice come out of the shy young man. His last song of the night confirmed something for me. He is not destined for pop stardom a la the Jonas Brothers. He will be the new Josh Groban. There's nothing wrong with that, that boy has plenty of money and fame! To be honest, it's way more palatable to both Cassie and me than the Jonas Brothers.getlost

Syesha - Not impressed. Do not like the whole Beyonce wannabe thing. And I do think I know what she did with any AI money she's gotten. Roll Eyes

David C - He has the whole rock star thing down. He makes Daughtry look like an amature. He exudes confidence, intelligence, and personality in his performance. He truly looks happy to be doing what he's doing. I could do without the eyeliner, but that voice really makes me forget that!

Soul to me is a feeling, a lot of depth and being able to bring to the surface that which is happening inside, to make the picture clear. The song doesn't matter. It's just the emotion, the way it affects other people. - Aretha Franklin
