Karen. . how do you feel about working with Canadian artists ? Would love to see a blues guy out of Nova Scotia get some New England exposure. . . he has two CDs out now and a new live album coming out soon. He does House Parties which with your connections might be something you could help him with in the states. BTW . . he's a fan of Taylor's Can check him out on his official site - link --> Charlie A'Court Some videos . . . can't embed in this section uploader's comment . . . Charlie A'Court performs "Take Me Down" from his album "Bring On The Storm". Charlie played the first mainstage set of 2008's Stan Rogers Folk Festival. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3HrdUdHaZFA uploader's comment . . . Considered one of the best emerging stars in Canada, Charlie A. Court was the winner of the 2007 East Coast Music Award for his most recent album «Bring on the storm» and of the Best Blues Artist in 2003 for his first album «Colour me Gone». He manages to move and touch the public everywhere he goes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChzIVlHyqwM Charlie has mad guitar skills ! Our group of ten were all blown away by him at the Fredericton Jazz & Blues Festival last fall - including my very knowledgeable (and equally picky) son. A friend managed to get a couple of videos, it is too bad there aren't more - Charlie was on fire that night . . Forty Four - Harvest Jazz and Blues Fest - Sept 2008 . . . http://vimeo.com/1795654 These are samples from a House Party he did in Texas last summer . . I think we all know one artist she should promote in our area
![]() This sounds like an exiting venture! I bet you could do searches on MySpace for area talent, etc. Check out our MySpace friends-some local musicians have friended us...

He does have upcoming days off from Grease that the rest of the tour group does not have. Im sure he would love to visit New England in the summer. Right? HA!! ![]() You guys have the best ideas. I appreciate you brainstorming for me. Bring it on girls! It will pay off for you. Eventually I will need an assistant. I would love to have it be one of my NESP friends! K

Karen . . while you're campaigning for us . . we know Taylor likes Portland so . . A new club opened in Portland that seems to fit with the places Taylor has been choosing for the Shadow Tour . . Port City Music Hall _ http://www.portcitymusichall.blogspot.com/ Derek Trucks kicked off his new album tour there in early February . . and Susan Tedeschi is doing a show there in June. Several good reasons to believe Taylor is well aware of both those artists. Person who went to the Truck's show liked the venue . . good sound system. A bit about this remodeled venue here . . http://www.mainetoday.com/blogs/inasnap/037440.html " Inside, the space is huge and will be have a maximum capacity of 660 people standing. Smaller shows could set up row seating (capacity 350) or four-top tables (capacity 240). " ---------------------------------------------------------- There is also a place called One Longfellow Square that would be a 200 capacity with theater type seating and ?? <---- Assistant.
Seriously, I am an excellent assistant (I have references in CT) and this would actually be somewhat remotely related to my music major. And I'm wicked good with web/social networking, as we already know. And I'm good at finding new acts. Sounds like a very good business idea, and I hope it takes off for you!
